South America (SAM)

The SAM region comprises IFALPA member associations from South America, representing pilots operating within a geographically and operationally diverse environment. This includes long-haul international routes, extensive domestic networks, and operations conducted over mountainous terrain, remote areas, and oceanic airspace. These conditions give rise to a range of operational considerations, which are addressed within a shared framework of safety, professionalism, and operational consistency.

Through their affiliation with IFALPA, SAM member associations are part of a global system of representation and cooperation. This enables coordinated advocacy, facilitates the exchange of relevant operational experience and practices, and supports a coherent approach to addressing both regional priorities and developments in the international aviation environment.
