Europe (EUR)
The IFALPA European Region reflects the scope of the ICAO EUR region, extending beyond the European Union to include a wider group of neighboring countries. This approach recognises the interconnected nature of European aviation, where operations, airspace, and regulatory frameworks transcend national boundaries. Within this framework, the region is also represented through the European Cockpit Association (ECA), ensuring a strong and unified voice for airline pilots at the centre of European aviation decision-making. This structure enables effective and coordinated engagement with key European institutions and bodies, supporting the consistent advancement of safety, efficiency, and collaboration across the region.
Through its regional structure, IFALPA represents national pilot associations across Europe, bringing together a diverse and highly professional pilot community operating within one of the world’s most complex aviation environments. By being affiliated with both the European Cockpit Association (ECA) and IFALPA, member associations benefit from strong representation at both regional and global levels. IFALPA ensures coordination with key international bodies, including the ICAO EUR/NAT Office and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), while ECA focuses on engagement with European Union institutions. This complementary approach enables effective advocacy across all relevant forums, supports the exchange of global expertise and regional insight, and reinforces a unified voice in promoting the highest standards of aviation safety, security, and professionalism.
