Asia and Pacific (APAC)
IFALPA members across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region play a vital role in strengthening aviation safety by working closely with the ICAO Bangkok Regional Office and National CAAs to implement global standards.
In a region characterized by rapid growth and diverse operational environments, IFALPA members in APAC provide critical frontline experience and professional expertise that contribute meaningfully to aviation safety initiatives.
Collaboration with industry stakeholders and regulators helps ensure that international standards are not only understood but effectively applied in ways that reflect regional needs and realities. Importantly, IFALPA members are well placed to identify and report local safety deficiencies—such as runway safety concerns—and to support targeted improvements in implementation.
By working together, they can strengthen the consistency of safety practices, encourage capacity building, and foster a more resilient safety culture across the region—ultimately contributing to safer and more sustainable aviation systems.
