Yellow Fever Information for Pilots

Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne Flavivirus endemic to parts of Africa and South America, relevant to pilots operating in these regions. Most infections are asymptomatic, but severe cases can cause jaundice, hemorrhage, organ failure, and high mortality. There is no specific treatment; care is supportive. Vaccination is the main preventive measure, providing long-term protection after a single dose and often required for international travel.
