Loss of Control related to Angle of Attack (LoC‑AoA) remains a significant contributor to aircraft upsets and accidents, often occurring while the aircraft is still capable of safe flight. This paper examines how inappropriate or absent manual and auto‑flight control inputs, combined with misidentification of flight conditions, can lead to excessive angle of attack and stalls. It emphasizes that effective prevention relies on timely recognition of energy state, correct control actions, robust pilot training, and clear, intuitive presentation of AoA‑based flight information and guidance. Rather than direct AoA indicators, well‑designed AoA‑based cues integrated into the flight deck are identified as the most effective means to support prevention and recovery from LoC‑AoA events.
