MONTREAL – The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East Region following announcements of significant military activity.
Global air traffic is already affected by airspace restrictions and rerouting, particularly for flights transiting the region between Europe and destinations in Asia and the Pacific.
IFALPA has several active Member Associations in the region and stands ready to support any Member Association (MA) whose pilots may be affected. We encourage any MA requiring assistance to contact the Federation. IFALPA will use all available resources to provide timely guidance, coordination, and professional support as needed.
The Federation will continue to monitor developments closely and engage with relevant authorities and industry stakeholders to assess and address any implications for flight safety, security, and operational resilience.
