Abstract

Despite decades of progress, women make up only about 5% of airline pilots worldwide. The aviation industry must actively recruit and support women pilots to build an inclusive and sustainable workforce. This includes bias-free hiring, flexible schedules, mentorship, leadership development, and clear pathways for career advancement. Investing in women pilots strengthens safety and ensures the long-term resilience of aviation.
