The theme of the seventh annual Global Pilots' Symposium (GPS VII) is Leadership: Opportunities and Challenges. It combined the efforts of IFALPA with pilot leaders from the three global alliances – ASAP, OCCC, and SPA, to explore the current state of affairs of the airline industry. At GPS VII, top airline executives and industry experts offered their unique perspectives on aviation labour issues worldwide. The Symposium explored rapidly evolving communications platforms, the generational hand-off, Social Media, and more. In response to the feedback from previous years, GPS VII included speakers from all corners of the world to discuss regional challenges and opportunities in the airline industry. More than just talk, GPS continues to provide an experience where strategic tools are provided along with action plans for the profession at large.
