On this International Day of the Air Traffic Controller, the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) proudly recognizes the dedication and professionalism of air traffic controllers around the world, and particularly our colleagues at the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) who continue to perform their critical duties under extraordinary circumstances.
Air traffic controllers are essential to the safe and efficient operation of global aviation. Their work demands precision, vigilance, and constant coordination, qualities that are especially vital during times of crisis and disruption. The fact that U.S. controllers continue to fulfill these responsibilities without compensation is a testament to their integrity and dedication to public safety.
We recognize their vital role in ensuring the safety of passengers, crews, and aircraft, and we honor their continued service during this challenging period. We sincerely hope that the situation is resolved swiftly.
To all air traffic controllers, know that your efforts are seen, respected, and appreciated by your global aviation colleagues. On this day, and every day, we salute your commitment to excellence.
