Dear Colleagues,
IFALPA has been informed by the Syndicat National des Pilotes de Lignes (SNPL France ALPA), that the Vueling pilots’ section of the SNPL has filed a strike notice concerning all French based Vueling pilots, motivated by the refusal of the airline management to apply CPI adjustments into pilots’ salaries, as Vueling management previously committed to do.
The SNPL representatives believe in engaging in constructive dialogue and negotiations to normalize the salaries of Vueling pilots employed in France. For months, Vueling pilots have been requesting these adjustments and have been extremely patient, but faced with the management's lack of commitment, they have no other choice but to call for a strike.
On behalf of Vueling pilots, the SNPL is requesting the Mutual Assistance outlined below, as per the IFALPA Industrial Manual, starting on 23 April 2024, until 25 April 2024 inclusive:
- Ban on Wet Leasing (Para. 2.4.1)
- Freeze in Capacity (Para.2.4.2.2)
The SNPL further requests Letters of Support for Vueling pilots to be sent to the attention of Karine Gély, President of the SNPL [email protected] and CC [email protected]
The SNPL will keep IFALPA and its Member Associations informed of any further developments.
In Unity,
