What does IFALPA do?

IFALPA is the global voice of pilots. An international not-for-profit organization, IFALPA represents more than 100,000 pilots in nearly 100 countries worldwide.

IFALPA supports its Member Associations by:
Interacting with international organizations to develop policies and positions and promote their adoption by ICAO, international regulatory authorities, and the State of each Member Association.

Promoting and enhancing the role of professional pilots in ensuring the safety of the aircraft and well-being of passengers and goods; and providing professional development for the benefit of working pilots.

Providing Member Associations with services as needed, including assistance with organizational development, providing expertise in the areas of Technical, Safety, Regulatory, and Industrial issues, and facilitating the exchange of information and the co-ordination of activities amongst Member Associations and Pilot Alliances through various forums such as Conference, Regional Meetings and Standing Committees.
