Request for Mutual Assistance for SEPLA – Air Nostrum pilots
The Sindicato Español de Pilotos de Líneas Aéreas, SEPLA, are requesting Mutual Assistance on behalf of Air Nostrum pilots.
We have been informed by SEPLA of the notice of strike by Air Nostrum pilots due to the progressive transferal of operations from Iberia Regional to other airlines created by Air Nostrum management for this purpose. These airlines, MedOps (Malta) and Hibernian (Ireland), are part of the ILAI Group, and were established one year ago by Air Nostrum. They represent a serious threat to the job security of Air Nostrum pilots.
The mediation process took place between Air Nostrum pilots and the airline management at the Spanish arbitration institution, without a successful outcome. As a result, after months of negotiations, the management leaves no other choice than to take industrial action. Minimum services will be guaranteed.
Therefore, SEPLA requests, through IFALPA, the following Mutual Assistance for: 23, 26 and 30 November starting at 00:01 LT, until 23:59 LT each day:
Request for Ban on Wet Leasing (2.4.1)
Request for Freeze in Capacity (2.4.2)
Request for Recruitment Ban (2.4.3)
Request for Assistance to Pilots Stranded Away from their Home Base (2.4.5)
Request for Prohibition of Pilot Contracting (2.4.6)
All IFALPA Member Associations are encouraged to support Air Nostrum pilots by forwarding support letters to: Cpt. Luis Ramos Nuñez and Cpt. Manuel Moñino, [email protected]
SEPLA will keep IFALPA and its Member Associations informed of any further developments.
