Request for Mutual Assistance for APPLA/SPAC Portugal (SATA Pilots)
The Pilots’ Association of Portugal (Associação dos Pilotos Portugueses de Linha Aérea, APPLA), is requesting Mutual Assistance on behalf of SATA International pilots, represented by the Portuguese Civil Pilots Union, SPAC (Sindicato dos Pilotos da Aviação Civil) on labour matters.
We have been informed by APPLA that, due to a total impasse in the CLA negotiations, SPAC and its pilots decided in General Assembly to declare a strike. The pilots of SATA International, represented by SPAC, have already informed the company and the Government authorities about their intention to take industrial action.
Therefore, APPLA requests, through IFALPA, the following Mutual Assistance, on 6, 7, 13 & 14 July 2019 from 00:00 to 23:59:
- Request for Ban on Wet Leasing (2.4.1)
- Request for Increase in Capacity (184.108.40.206)
- Request for Recruitment Ban (2.4.3)
- Request for Prohibition of Pilot Contracting (2.4.6)
All IFALPA Member Associations are encouraged to support SATA International pilots by forwarding support letters to Cpt. Alfredo Mendonça, President of SPAC, [email protected]
APPLA will keep IFALPA and its Member Associations informed of any further developments.
