BERLIN, Germany –The 74th Conference of the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) in Berlin, Germany, representing over 100,000 pilots worldwide, held elections today and is pleased to announce the new Executive Board:
President - Captain Jack Netskar, Norway

IFALPA’s new President, Captain Jack Netskar of Norway has been a Captain with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) for more than two decades. Soon after beginning his career as a line pilot, Captain Netskar became involved in union work. Over the years, he has been elected to several leadership positions including Board Member, Deputy Chair, and Chair of SAS Pilot Union, International Director of his home Member Association, NF, and the Federation’s Executive Vice President, Professional and Government Affairs, a position he served in from 2016 until his election as President, today.
Captain Netskar plans to forward the mission of the Federation by emphasising the harmonization of IFALPA’s Technical work with its Industrial and Regional focus. Captain Netskar opined, “There is a great responsibility in leading a global community with expertise in so many areas. This responsibility needs to be managed and developed with the support of a strong and strategically oriented leadership.” The Federation welcomes Captain Netskar as IFALPA’s new President.
