A look back on 2014,

and forward to the

year ahead

elcome back and Happy New Year! We hope you all got a chance
Wto enjoy some time with your families over the holidays. IFALPA
is looking forward to another productive year working alongside you.
Before we launch into yet another year of hard work, we would like
to take an opportunity, in this edition of InterPilot, to reflect back on
some of the challenges we faced in 2014 as well as to recognize the
accomplishments of the Federation’s members, committees and
volunteers. It is the combined work of these many devoted individuals
Capt Don Wykoff that has driven IFALPA and all pilots’ cause forward in the last year.
President, IFALPA For 2015, IFALPA remains dedicated to continuing its active stance

in the promotion of safety in the piloting profession and the aviation
industry as a whole. We are committed to advocating on behalf of the
world’s pilots, from all corners of the globe, in a productive and
meaningful way.
To advance our advocacy on all levels, we are working to change the
name of the Industrial Committee to the Professional and Government
Affairs Committee. This will greater reflect not only the traditional
Industrial Committee work plan, but also reflect the need to build,
enhance and execute strategies to engage each of our regulators and
government officials on issues important to us as a global pilot group.
Additionally, we will align the staff and executive officer positions to
this same objective.
Also in 2015, we are looking forward to the 70th IFALPA Conference
in Madrid, Spain. The conference, hosted by our Spanish Member
Association, SEPLA, will be held from April 10th to 13th, 2015. Look
out for further conference details on the IFALPA website.

Capt Don Wykoff
President, IFALPA
