Stretching from the Rio Grande to Cape Horn, the Caribbean & South America (CARSAM) Region has faced a unique series of challenges not least those posed by the volatility of the some of the region’s economies. Equally, the pressure to reduce cost in the face of increased domestic and cross boarder competition has made the maintenance and enhancement of safety standards ever more important.
Throughout the region, IFALPA Pilot Volunteers have been working to ensure compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommendations. Most recently there has been a surge interest in participation in IFALPA’s Local Runway Safety Team (LRST) training (to find out more about the LRST training offered by the Federation click here).
