IFALPA is also divided into five regions which, broadly speaking reflect the regions of ICAO but where ICAO has nine regions in IFALPA these have been consolidated since this is more reflective of IFALPA member organisations. Since 2006, each region has been led by and Executive Vice President (Regions) directly elected from the member associations of each region to serve on the Federation’s Board. The EVP of a given region must be a member of an association within that region and, like all IFALPA Officers, be an active pilot. The ASIA – PAC region corresponds to ICAO’s Asia & Pacific region Caribbean & South America (CAR-SAM) CAR SAM is made up following ICAO regions:
The European Cockpit Association (ECA) represents the Federation’s interests in Europe The North American region operates as a subset of ALPA International which represents pilots in both Canada and the United States |
