Terms of Reference
- To prepare and discuss working papers which review, modify and amend IFALPA policy concerning all aspects of the design and operation of aeroplanes which require the inclusion of a licensed Flight Engineer.
- To consider the industrial implications of the substitution of aeroplanes certified for operation without a licensed Flight Engineer, and to advise IFALPA Industrial Committee (IND) of such implications.
- In concert with the Industrial Committee, to study problems of an industrial nature and progressively develop IFALPA policy proposals associated with industrial matters relating to Flight Engineers and their employment.
- To provide expert advice on Flight Engineer issues upon request to the Executive Board, other Standing Committees, Advisory Groups, and interested external parties.
- To contribute to the development of relevant ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices, and associated guidance materials as applicable to a licensed Flight Engineer.
- To review member regulatory authorities (i.e. JAA, FAA CASA) licensing requirements for licensed Flight Engineers, as amended from time to time.
- To disseminate any information from other IFALPA Standing Committees or Advisory Groups as applied to Flight Engineers.
