Executive Vice President ADO (EVP TECH)
Capt. Richard Woodward
A former ADO Committee Vice-Chairman (Design) and AGE Committee member, Richard is IFALPA's Executive Board member responsible for technical work and has oversight of the ADO, AGE and ATS Committees. He flies A380s for Qantas, based in Sydney, and is a CASA approved test pilot and a member of the Flight Test Society of Australia. He also represents the Federation on the ICAO OPS Panel. In his spare time, he enjoys racing his car in competitions such as the Classic Adelaide tarmac rally.
Committee Chairman ADO
Capt. Stefan Wolf
Stefan flies A320s for Lufthansa, based in Frankfurt. He was elected ADO Chairman in 2009 after serving five years as Vice-Chairman (Ops). He represents the Federation in several EASA and ICAO Panels and Study Groups. A man of many talents, Stefan is also a qualified architect.
Committee Vice Chairman (Design) ADO
SFO. Thomas Wieser
Thomas flies B-777s for Austrian Airlines, based in Vienna. He joined the ADO Committee in 2002 and was elected Vice-Chairman (Design) in 2006. Thomas is an FAA Instructor and has been actively involved in the major aircraft manufacturers' evaluation programmes, amongst which the steep approach trials of the A318 and E-170. He represents the Federation in SAE's S7 Committee.
Committee Vice Chairman (Ops) ADO
Capt. Bill de Groh
A former flight test engineer for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, Bill now flies E-145s for American Eagle, based in Texas. He also holds FAA Instructor and commercial glider pilot certificates. He joined the ADO Committee in 2007 and was elected Vice-Chairman (Ops) in 2010. Bill is involved in a number of activities including the Takeoff and Landing Performance Assessment Aviation Rulemaking Committee and Flight Safety Foundation’s Runway Safety Initiative. He's a member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers and the Society of Aircraft Performance and Operations Engineers.
Media Representative ADO
SFO. Peter Swoboda
Peter flies 737 NGs for Austrian Airlines, based in Vienna. He joined the ADO Committee in 2002 and is the liaison officer for Media relations. Peter is also the ADO specialist for issues related to All Weather Operations (AWO).
Technical Officer ADO
Capt. Arnaud du Bédat
Following five years flying on contract for a number of European airlines and another five years flying in Florida, Arnaud joined IFALPA in 2002 and serves as Senior Technical Officer responsible for the AAP, ADO, DG and SEC Committees. He represents the Federation in aviation Panels and Study Groups related to these Committees and flies business jets, based in London. A classical organist, he also enjoys playing at his local church.
Airbus Representative ADO
Capt. Terry Lutz
A former DC9 and A320 pilot at Northwest Airlines, Terry served as Vice-Chairman (Design) of the ADO Committee for many years. In 2006, he joined the flight test team at Airbus in Toulouse and was involved in the later elements of the A380 certification programme. He is a graduate of the US Air Force Aerospace Research Pilot’s School and a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. Terry’s flight test work also includes the first flight on his own Vans RV-8 “Sweet Nancy Lynn” which he finished building in 2006.
Boeing Representative ADO
Capt. Mark Feuerstein
Mark is a former US Navy test pilot. Since joining Boeing in 1997 he has worked on commercial flight test and development programs involving the B-737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787. He is currently Boeing’s Chief Pilot for all B-747 programs, from the Classic to the new B-747-8 Freighter and Intercontinental, based in Seattle. Mark is an Associate Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and fly fishing. Interestingly, his wife is also a pilot and flies the B-777.
Bombardier Representative ADO
Ms. Reyhaneh Sayfi
An aeronautical engineer, graduate of ENAC-ENSICA in Toulouse, Reyha has been involved in aircraft design and certification since 1998. She joined Bombardier Safety Office Product and Services in 2007. She is based in Montreal and is leading Safety Management System development across the different lines of business in design, manufacturing, maintenance, flight & airport operations. She is also a private pilot, member of European Commercial Aviation Safety Team (ECAST) and of 99’s Canadian Women Pilots. In her spare time, she enjoys flying small airplanes and mountaineering.
